Our Process

We will arrive at your home between 7:00 and 7:30 every morning that we are on the job. One of our crew leads will go over the scope of work (which has been previously approved by the home owner) that is to be performed in order to complete the job. Next, the team will walk around the property to assess the roof and determine the best place to start or continue work. We will create a plan for each day making sure that throughout the entirety of the project the risk of damage is minimized or nullified by water and ice proofing the entire roof as we go. After deciding on a starting location the team will make sure to move and ensure the safety of anything you have in your yard (patio furniture, garden gnomes, grills, etc.).

Next the team will lay out tarps to protect the ground and boards to protect siding and windows from any debris that may fall off of the roof during the tear off process. We do not tear off the entire roof at one time. We will tear off in sections so that we are always water tight throughout the project.

After the roof or portion of a roof is torn off we will remove all nails from the decking and hand clean all of the gutters.

At this point the crew will split in to two groups:

  1. Ground Crew – These members will begin cleaning the ground and bringing up equipment and material. The ground and surrounding areas will be 100% spotless at the end of each work day. We also will run a powerful magnet over all areas to ensure no nails or screws are left behind.
  2. Roof Installers – These members will inspect the decking/plywood and will replace any damaged boards. The crew leader will alert you of any replacement boards that are needed and why.

After the decking is inspected and approved the roof installers will begin with the underlay.

New aluminum drip edge will be installed along the bottom edge of the house and a row of ice and water protection are installed along the eves, valleys, and around chimneys and walls. After the ice and water shield is installed a synthetic felt will be layed out to cover the remainder of the roof. The entire roof will be covered by underlay before any shingles are installed.

Aluminum drip edge is installed on the rake edges/gables side of the roof. New shingles are installed and any pipes sticking through the roof will have new pipe boots installed around them.

Once all new roofing is installed a ridge vent and cap will be added to increase ventilation of the roof.

Once the roof is finalized it will be blown off again and the gutters cleaned out and inspected again to make sure that they are completely free of debris.

The entire crew will take another walk around the premises ensuring there is absolutely no debris left behind and the magnets will be ran again to pick up any metal debris. Upon completion you will be left with a leak free roof and spotless yard.
